Avez-vous vu un Azuré des nerpruns cette année ? Bien qu'il puisse être difficile de repérer les papillons lorsqu'ils voltigent haut autour des buissons et des arbres, début septembre est le moment idéal pour trouver les chenilles camouflées sur les bourgeons de lierre. 🐛
NGC 6744 est une galaxie spirale intermédiaire relativement rapprochée de la constellation du Paon. Les dernières estimations de sa distance en 2018 la situe entre 23 et 29 millions d'années-lumière de nous.

Elle a au moins une galaxie naine pour compagnon bien visible qui tourne autour d'elle. Il s'agit de NGC 6744A que j'ai entouré en vert sur cette autre photographie récente prise par un amateur. Sa distance n'a pourtant pas pu être établie (même pas de redshift).
Un article de 2022 estime que cette galaxie à 5 ou 6 compagnons nains. NGC 6744 est plus grande que la Voie Lactée: ~172000 années-lumière de diamètre face à ~110000 années-lumière.

Il s'agit d'une géante blanche 5 fois plus grosse et 3 fois plus massive que le Soleil. Elle est située à 4924 années-lumière. 4 - UCAC2 3812567. Il s'agit d'une géante orange 10 fois plus grosse et 2 fois plus massive que le Soleil. Elle est située à 4401 années-lumière. 5 - Gaia DR3 6438527753371409152. Il s'agit d'une étoile jaune 2 fois plus grosse et 1,4 fois plus massive que le Soleil (espérance de vie: 4,1 milliards d'années). Elle est située à 2222 années-lumière. 6 - Gaia DR3 6438576269322000640. Il s'agit d'une étoile jaune/orange de même taille que le Soleil mais 0,8 fois moins massive (espérance de vie 15 milliards d'années). Elle est située à 2454 années-lumière. 7 - Gaia DR3 6438576338039345920. Il s'agit d'une étoile jaune 2 fois plus grosse et 1,4 fois plus massive que le Soleil (espérance de vie: 4,6 milliards d'années). Elle est située à 4039 années-lumière. 8 - Gaia DR3 6438576269322000000. Tried logging on to here via Subway Tooter, which I use for Mastodon. It's supposed to work with Friendica too. I tried the Friendiqa app but it doesn't even recognise this site exists. Anyway it appeared I'd logged on successfully but when I went to look at my feed I got a very long error message. The folks on Subway Tooter's help forum said it was a server issue and to contact the server owner.
I've got it partially working. The feed doesn't work but the notifications do and I can boost/repost posts from my Mastodon accounts onto my Foggy Minds account
Housing situation has been a pain, still on the temporary server environment and been hitting major resources bottlenecks.
I'm hoping to get a place sooner, but I've hit some roadblocks that very likely will push it drastically further out... in which case I'll need to spend more money on this environment to return things to stable.

Listened to a command on the internet informing me how to remove dependencies using pacman on arch. Ended up removing ca-certificates and fucking my system. Had to reinstall those packages from cache.

@Shiri Bailem Yeah. They messed something up with their backups while updating Friendica or something like that. They couldn't manage to restore everything and gave up, sadly. But I'm glad I've found your server! 😀
So the temporary system had some sort of failure, I'm not even 100% sure what caused it to be honest. It went down sometime yesterday and some of the virtual drives got corrupted, which caught the database and the virtual gateway device.
I was able to restore the system... most of the way. Thankfully there are backups of the database, but some of them were also flawed as well, the most recent intact one was from 5/16, so 5 days were lost.
To be clear, this problem was exacerbated by the fact that there's not as much redundancy in the temporary setup (sadly it looks like it'll be a few more months before I have a place of my own and can spin up my own hardware again). But I'm going to still look at how I might get those in better shape.
As far as how long it took: I had a busy day yesterday and didn't see that the server was down until I was too exhausted to do anything about it, so it had to wait until I got off work today... each attempt at restoring the database takes around an hour, so that took *a while* to get restored.
If y'all have had issues uploading images... sorry about that.
I missed a setting when re-configuring the server after transfer to it's current environment and it's fixed now.
Longer Explanation: there are two servers involved, a reverse proxy and then the actual Friendica server. The Friendica server accepted uploads up to 100MB... the proxy didn't have that setting... so it would just go for a bit, then timeout. Added that setting to the proxy and all solved.
Life has been very busy lately. I have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and had a lump removed & a lot of appointments. I dressing changes 3 times a week. I am having CBT counselling. There is the decluttering. And that is on top of my caring duties, trying to cope with my osteoarthritis, etc & trying to sort out a motorbility car.
