A big part of the program was on homelessness. One problem that didn't get mentioned is how with the benefits cap including the money to cover your rent & with rents being so high & the eay UC is set up the benefits system as it is nowadays makes avoiding homelessness harder & forces people out of their housing.

As one of the few people I see who still wears a mask on airplanes, I think back and wonder how this wasn't always a thing, even before COVID.

Travelers are in a closed space for a prolonged period of time sharing possibly-infected air with people who have been all around the world and likely in close company with even more people.

COVID or not, wearing a mask is only a minor inconvenience and it shouldn't even be a question about whether or not to wear one, provided you care about your own health and/ or the health of others.

husband and i are going to england for xmas to see his family. i suspect we'll be the only ones on the MSP-LHR flight wearing masks.

i'm not psyched about masking every single minute of a 10-hour flight (meaning no food or drink), but it's still better than covid...
