Still don't understand what the differences between the 3 timelines "latest posts", "latest creation" and "latest activity" in Friendica are. πŸ˜†

@Charline
* Latest Posts - Sorted by most recently received by the server first
* Latest Creation - Sorted by their creation date first (we might receive them hours, days, some rare cases even months after they were created)
* Latest Activity - Sorted by the most recent comment or receive date

The whole receive date thing is a quirk of the fediverse, when something is received late it usually means it was referenced recently (liked or commented) by someone on another server that's being watched by this server (either directly followed or in the other server's public feed) or because there was a delay in just receiving it from the other server.

You'll see this on posts in your feed like this "33 minutes ago (Received 21 minutes ago)" when there's a significant difference between the times. The example being the post took 12 minutes between being created and it actually being pulled in by the server.

@Shiri Bailem Thank you so much for the detailed explanation! It’s been very helpful in understanding the differences between the individual timelines.

@Charline glad i could help! Friendica is powerful but it's far from the easiest to understand.
