Another wildly misleading headline: state health-care plans already had to pay for gender affirming surgeries for cis people, and only specifically denied them to trans people.

The transmisic media is trying really hard to create a framing where trans people want some special "trans only" medical treatment that was invented just for trans people and is super duper new and experimental, but that is simply not the case.

Republican leaders know this, which is why they pass laws stating that trans people are banned from getting endocrine care but cis people continue to be allowed to get the exact same medications.

But Republican leaders also know that if they openly admit what they are doing they'll get fewer votes, so they fabricate a narrative where trans people want some dangerous experimental trans-only-treatment that Republicans are banning because it's dangerous. And the media is playing along with the Republicans.
