I care about this election.

I care that our one hope to avoid a fascist takeover of the US has been both assisting and excusing a genocide for the past six months.

I care that members of the only party that stands between us and the end of democracy are currently calling for Americans of conscience to be arrested for daring to protest an ongoing ethnic cleansing, calling them "Hamas supporters."

I care that they have open contempt for the majority of Americans who oppose this brutality.

My mother has lived in that neighborhood for over 40 years and I spent my teen years there but she wasn’t in any danger thankfully. It is so surreal seeing images from there all over world news for such a horrific event. Sadly it’s just another day in this country and it will change absolutely nothing. Sandy Hook proved that.

"Cancer treatments" and "gender affirming treatments" include a lot of the exact same treatments: insurance companies and politicians just call them "life-saving cancer treatments" when given to cis people and "gender-affirming cosmetic treatment" when given to trans people.

And a federal court says that is no longer allowed.
