12 Essential Life Skills Young People Today Often Lack Because They Were Never Taught – The Sense Hub
I'm 56 & I never learnt most of them. The only one I was taught is cooking & basic nutrition except what I was taught in cooking was more cooking for a family rather than cooking for 1 so I was left stumped when I went to Uni till my mum introduced me to pressure cooker cooking & bought me a pressure cooker.

My mum tried to teach me budgetting but the method relied on her giving me the figures to put at the tops of the columns & I never could get the figures in the columns to add up to the total reliably. It was also very time consuming so totally impractical as a full time unpaid carer & parent to 3 disabled kids.
