Édouard d'Apvril
Édouard d'Apvril, né Marie Antoine Philibert Édouard d'Apvril le 8 janvier 1843 à Grenoble, décédé le 12 octobre 1928 était un peintre français.
Il fut élève de Félix Cottavoz à Grenoble et d'Isidore Pils à Paris. En 1868, son premier envoi au Salon de Paris (Jeune fille à sa toilette et Portrait de jeune homme) est accepté. Il y participera régulièrement par la suite jusqu'en 1885. Après ses études à l'École des Beaux-Arts, il revient à Grenoble pour se consacrer à son art.
Inspiré par les maîtres flamands et hollandais qu'il copiait à ses débuts au musée de Grenoble, il fit un voyage en Hollande en 1887. Il fréquenta le cercle des peintres qui se retrouvaient le dimanche à Proveysieux. Il perd la vue à partir de 1918.
Édouard d'Apvril est enterré au cimetière Saint-Roch de Grenoble.
Il fut avant tout un peintre de genre et un portraitiste.

Just a random note:
"Ad Hominem" is a logical fallacy in which they dismiss the argument by addressing the person not the argument.
Ad Hominem is not calling the person a douchebag while addressing the points of the argument.
Ad Hominem is saying those points should be dismissed because they are a douchebag.
It's thrown around (improperly) often by people who want to basically say "you've lost the argument because you're angry" but what to add elitism on top of entitlement.
Easy test: if you can remove all the insults from the argument and it still makes sense, then it's not Ad Hominem.
My little fur niece and my family still need help. While the goal has been met, it's the bare minimum, if things go well and luck is good things will work out... but things are really hard even then.

Unknown parent • •@Henry willow to be clear, this is my sister's campaign. As far as I know they're stable, they're just holding their breath for worse and cutting back on their own care to cover and prep (ie. my sister has severe health issues, my nephew has dietary issues, and they're cutting groceries).
So donations right now are toward breathing room, toward either avoiding possible bad news putting them back under or if all goes well then toward getting them back on their feet.
