boosting this to make all my mutuals feel like they're grandparents

sometimes i forget that people that were alive in the 80s are sometimes alive today

I'm legitimately curious: do you mean this in a "You seem so much younger" way, or is it just a general disbelief that someone my age is hanging around a corner of the internet like this one?

No judgement; I just find this topic interesting (especially since your own outburst on my birthday reminded me of how old you are)

I peg you to be a lot younger than that and it’s mainly disbelief. I am glad to have both younger and older queers here, I don’t really care about the ages.

if anything - I am happy because it means that generational knowledge (especially generational queer knowledge) has a place to be passed down on. A lot of y’all didn’t get the same experience because of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. It’s genuinely a relief to see older queers around us who are still living strong.

anyway enough being sappy I’m going to still call you old :P

age estimations for people who openly talk about gender stuff is weird

and honestly, i do think your comfort exploring your gender @Bard does impact how people "age" you

i'm either assumed to be in my early 20s or mid 50s and i just confirmed (yes, i had to check my age) i am 36

for me i know exactly why this happens - i transitioned comparatively young, which leads to the assumption i am either ancient or young
