So the root thing behind this that we only relatively recently figured out is that much of it comes from us having value based identities (as opposed to organization/association based identities).
Allistics tend to have much more fluid relationships to their values, because while important, their values aren't fundamentally who they are. Instead their identities are based off of their social structures (think things like "team spirit", "hometown pride", etc). Their values shift based on whether people are watching and how their actions relate to the groups they associate themselves with.
We on the other hand typically root our value purely in our values: the choices and actions we make. We're consistent regardless of whether someone is watching, as well as whether or not the thing impacts groups we're a part of. (things like "If it can be destroyed by the truth then it should be")
So of course we're angered by injustice... it's people and groups around us betraying their own values constantly. And so often one of our key values is "stand up against oppression", so we'd be betraying ourselves if we didn't get infuriated.

Life has been very busy lately. I have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and had a lump removed & a lot of appointments. I dressing changes 3 times a week. I am having CBT counselling. There is the decluttering. And that is on top of my caring duties, trying to cope with my osteoarthritis, etc & trying to sort out a motorbility car.
Okay I find the interface of this website a little overwhelming, but I want to see if I can use it as a kind of post aggregator for the fediverse, RSS feeds, and possibly more.
@skye 🏳️⚧️ he/him Yeah, it's a very weird conversation the two sites are having and I'm not sure how it's working, but the bottom line seems to be that I can post from Friendica to Tumblr, I can view my Tumblr timeline on Firendica, and I can reply to Tumblr posts via Friendica. Friendica just can't see new comments added to the posts *via* Tumblr.
@skye 🏳️⚧️ he/him @hadeantaiga Friendica connects to Tumblr as a puppet account, so none of it is on the fediverse but just in the same feed.
I suppose they probably didn't connect the comments because that would get weird with a whole lot of comments being only visible to you (a whole of context management to figure out if you're replying via tumblr or AP, and whether or not the person you're talking to can see the relevant tumblr or AP comment)
It does offer a quick button to get to the original post immediately though, which is helpful (for Friendica users, the top right little arrow beside the network icon).
I think the feature mostly works to let you post and not worry about leaving a chunk of your audience out. Though I imagine it could use some work and if you have ideas they're always listening on the github: https://github.com/friendica/friendica/issues

Also what's your Tumblr, Friendica supports following Tumblr feeds, and this spurred me on to finally setting up the Tumblr addon which allows crossposting to Tumblr (it does require access to your Tumblr to do so, but uses Oauth so doesn't have your password or control over your account, just the ability to post).
@Shiri Bailem Oh my gosh that is PERFECT. I'm HadeanTaiga over on Tumblr too and I've been *searching* for a way to do longer posts like on Tumblr, and the fact that I can integrate Tumblr and the Fediverse here is like??? A dream come true???
@hadeantaiga I definitely recommend digging around through the settings because there's alot going on and a lot of decisions made by default that may or may not be what you want.
You can find the social network connectors under Social Networks, I've enabled all that are included in Friendica. If it's an "Export" that means it'll copy your posts to your account on that platform, and Import being it bringing things in to Friendica (Tumblr is both and the Export is controlled by a checkbox, it also lets you specify up to 10 tags to import as well).
Friendica is also cross compatible with OStatus and Diaspora* with no configuration needed (though there's far far fewer users of those protocols, ActivityPub is the big name).
On top of all that, you can also follow RSS feeds.
And when looking at the settings, don't skip over Addons. It's not for you to enable addons but rather miscellaneous settings for addons I have installed (for instance the content filter addon defaults to blocking everything tagged nsfw).
I'm also fond of going to Display Settings, Content/Layout to set "Stay local" which cuts down on the times links send you to another site. There's also your account type, which sets certain behaviors (the default Standard requires you to accept all follow requests, I like Soapbox which lets anyone follow but I have to manually add them to Friends)
