🤔 interesting. My smell mostly disappeared when the hormones kicked in. Except for my crotch which now smells surprisingly girly. My sense of smell did increase (a little) though. I wonder if maybe hers just increased a lot?

And also, yeah... 🤤 re. girlfriend / wifey scent.

oh no I think you misunderstood, the place I'm living in has prevalent racist stereotypes against indians, to the point where many landlords won't rent to indians. it doesn't really matter if I smell or not, I'm going to be discriminated against

a) dafuk?! that sucks. b) i'm confused then. I feel like i'm missing something. Why the concern about smell if the discrimination is a systemic thing.

Like, is there a stereotypical "indian" smell that sets them off? If so i completely missed that with all the Indian folks I've been friends with.

it's a racist stereotype so I don't really think it has a basis in reality, just a lot of sporeans will claim that indians smell bad, hence it'll lower property values if indians live in their houses. Naturally experiencing this kinda discrimination tends to make you super self conscious of accidentally falling into these traits~ what if they're correct? what if I really do smell? does that mean they're justified? in reality it's probably not even a thing, it's very hot here so some days everyone sweats, and everyone a kinda smell at least, but being a minority and having these pressures mean that you may over-react

here's a fun article about how it's like growing up here~ reddit.com/r/singapore/comment… (I'm british, I only came here for studying, so I haven't been affected as much, but this should give an idea of what it's like)
